Former Air Force chief scientist named new associate provost for Berkeley Space Center

The University of California, Berkeley, has appointed Victoria Coleman, former chief scientist for the U.S. Air Force and former head of DARPA, to spearhead the university’s activities at a proposed new research and innovation hub in Silicon Valley — the Berkeley Space Center. With extensive industry, government and academic experience in aerospace technology, Coleman will lead the campus's efforts to forge a research alliance between academia, NASA and the tech industry.
